‘Tis The Season


         It’s the first week of November, which means that all the fall foliage has been shoved back into the storage closet from whence they came, and holiday décor is out. The icicle lights are twinkling from store front windows, the reds are bolder and brighter, and every display case is packed with all things that are made to sparkle and look good wrapped up in a bow. The holiday season means several things, long lines in stores, peppermint mocha lattes at Starbucks, and about as many types of pies, cookies, and cakes as you can eat in the span of two months. It’s a crazy time of year, all starting with Thanksgiving that is the appetizer to what has become the bevy of holiday get togethers and seasonal cocktail parties.
